Always Faithful Home Inspection strives to provide a high level of quality service according to the Arizona Board of Technical Registration Standards of Practice. Our inspectors train only under other licensed inspectors that have been in business for several years, passing all that knowledge, and continuing eagerness for experience and education. Some of our inspectors are also licensed and/or certified in other states.
Our company also builds relationships with licensed contractors who are specialists in the systems of the homes, such as roofers, HVAC technicians, plumbers, electrician, pool companies, pest control qualified applicators, and others, not only so that we can continue our education, but to be able to provide qualified referrals when a system must be further evaluated. We do this without any monetary gain, and it should always be considered as a suggestion. It is the client who makes the final decision on whether to hire them or not after their own due diligence.
Meet Celia Webb, Owner and CEO
Celia is a Hispanic female immigrant from Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico. She immigrated to the United States in August of 1999 with her husband David and they started their family in Ashland Oregon. David joined the Army National Guard and became a veteran after being deployed to the Sinai Peninsula. He was a second lieutenant. Later, in 2004 he was called to work for the Border patrol, so they moved the family to Ajo, AZ. Celia stayed home with their two young sons and began home projects that she learned to do when growing up in her dad’s workshop. The oldest of 4, she helped her dad in any home improvements and repairs, and she did not just hold the light. Her dad had her hands on, helping on the projects.
Sadly, David was killed in the line of duty in November of 2006, and Celia was left with the two boys. She moved to Tucson in 2007 and began training Krav Maga in 2008. Years later she became a second degree black belt while going to college to obtain a Bachelors’ in Science in Human Services. She graduated with honors with a 4.0 GPA. All this while teaching and managing a self defense studio in NW Tucson, and investing in Real Estate flips, long, and short term rentals.
It was at the studio where she met Nicholas Marksberry, a home inspector that was starting to build his company. They later became business partners in real estate investments. Nick would check the homes that they were considering buying, but later his company (Always Faithful Home Inspection) got very busy thanks to word of mouth referrals, and he advised Celia to take the home inspection schooling so she could do the inspection when he was busy working.
Celia finished the schooling and went to pass the National Home Inspector Exam on her first try on March 14th, 2020. Right after she passed, the world closed down. The pandemic and its effects on the interest rates made the market extremely busy. Celia was able to finish her 30 parallel supervised inspections in only two and a half weeks. She immediately applied for her license, while getting her fingerprint clearance card, mold inspection certification, sewer scope training, and termite schooling.
Celia got fully licensed at the end of May, and hit the ground running. Working six, or even seven days a week, Celia has accomplished about 2000 inspections in four and a half years. Most are general home inspections, while others are mold, or wet areas and sewer inspections. Once she got certified in termite inspections, she added those to the ancillary services. The company currently contracts out the termite inspections, but requires inspectors to have the certification so that it can be added on site when necessary. This is extremely convenient, as it allows clients and realtors to book all services needed at the same time.
Later in her career, Celia trained her two adult sons to assist her. Every item gets tested at least twice, but more often than not, three times. It enhances thoroughness and safety.
The reporting software is designed to have 90% of defects or observations already built in. In the case that a deficiency or defect is not in the system, the inspector is able to add it right onto the application software, and save it for future use. The software also saves every 5 minutes, stores all the pictures, provides an electronic report, a PDF, and a summary of deficiencies. It also allows us to provide videos, add arrows or circles to photos to pinpoint problems or key information, and to publish the report on site. Our clients and realtors appreciate having the full report within minutes, especially when a short due diligence period is required.
While we form relationships with realtors, our first and only interest is to work for the client. Whether the client is buying or selling, our commitment is to them. A good, ethical realtor will give the client at least two options for home inspectors, and allow the client to choose. While some of the public believes that we work for realtors, this could not be further from the truth. We are simply a realtor’s tool to help his or her client. We are not there to make the sale go through, or make it fail. We are hired by the buyer to tell them the state of the home they are interested in, regardless of who will benefit from the sale. We want our client to have all the information to make an educated decision on the purchase of their home. A good agent will help them negotiate to get the best home. The inspector has no interest in the home itself, only in providing the most accurate information to the buyer. It is ultimately the buyer’s decision whether to go forward with the purchase, or back out, depending on what the defects and negotiations come up with.
Our ethical standards comply not only with the Home Inspectors Ethical Standards, but also with our company’s culture of complete transparency.
